Pumps and Fuels were commissioned by Irish Rail to design, supply, install and maintain a refuelling facility for a new traincare depot in Portlaoise.
The site was handed over in April 2008. Pumps and Fuels carried out a turnkey project covering the storage and dispensing of diesel fuel, various grades of lubrication oil, transmission oil, engine coolant as well as the installation of a waste oil collection system.
The tank farm comprised of 16 tanks and was connected up to a fully automated pumphouse which distributes the various products to a trackside refuelling bay as well as a maintenance shed.
The project was handed over on schedule and within budget.
